While their features vary from one to the other, most of them have a few essential shared traits that make them powerful tools on any handicapper’s arsenal. These include access to years and years of in-depth historical data, ratings, analysis with either pre-made, popular or self-made systems, automatic betting bots and much, much more, all of which makes handicapping horses much easier, faster and accurate.
There are quite a lot of them on the market but only a very select few are worth your time. Today we’ll be taking a look at only the very best horse handicapping software you can get, all of which have been tried and tested and are both respected in the community and used by professionals all around the globe as well.
These are the very best horse racing handicapping software on the market right now.
Mike Cruickshank’s extremely popular and highly effective Profit Maximizer is buck for the buck one of the best horse racing handicapping software I’ve ever used.
It’s beautifully well designed, easy to use and works like a charm. Not only do you get the software itself but you also get step by step instructions on how to use it effectively, access to the “Winners Circle” members only forum (where Mike posts exclusive picks and talks with members daily), an automatic best bet finder and much more. It’s an excellent package.
The best part, besides its effectiveness, is the price. You can get a 14 day trial for just £1 to give it a try and see for yourself how great it is and you can then get access to it for 1 whole year for just £97 (£8 per month with 100% money back guarantee). This incredible price is temporary as it’s discounted right now only for certain people – like the readers of MyHorseBets – so enjoy the offer while you can!
Keep in mind that it does not cover US-based races.
A classic choice and awesome piece of software, BetMix is a great, if very complex, horse handicapping tool.
It gives you access to a richly detailed platform, mountains of data and the ability to completely customize it for your own style (it can even use your own custom made systems and automation). Thankfully, you’ve got video tutorials to get you through its steep learning curve.
It’s incredibly well-designed, solidly programmed and features unmatched depth so I can only truly recommend it for experts that have experience with both handicapping and software. If you want to pour hours and hours into analyzing data, this is the horse handicapping software to do it with.
The prices are a bit steep too, adding to my professionals-only recommendation, as it starts at $50 per month with a $500 per year option or a $16 per 2 days option as well.
You can get the software here: Betmix
While it was already a fantastic tool in its 2.0 version, the new and updated 3.0 Midas Method software takes it to a whole new level of ease of use, effectiveness and overall quality.
The Midas is an automated betting bot that features 4 built-in systems as well as allowing you to create customized systems. It’s extremely easy to learn, quick to use and the results are outstanding as you can see on the tool’s website. A feature that I really enjoy is that if you’re too busy to use the software, you’ll actually get sent automatic betting picks that you can then choose to play if you wish – a huge time-saver that can churn out some true diamonds.
The price is fantastic too. You can get it either for £14.95 per month if you pay monthly or for £6.5 per month if you pay yearly (£79 for 1 year). Both options are backed with a 100% money back guarantee so you can feel secure when taking it for a spin and testing it out.
You’ve probably already heard of the Value Tips picks service, which is highly popular due to the awesome profit capabilities and great accuracy. Well Steve G (the creator) and his team just recently released the Value Tips software to back it up!
So far, the software has delivered winners at odds as high as 33/1 (ridiculous profit potential) and it has been making long-term profits ever since its 2015 debut (£25,000+ since 2015). Steve has finally opened up the access to the software after tons of requests and the results don’t lie – it’s stunning.
The software is very simple to use, requiring no previous betting or software experience, and it only takes around 5 to 10 minutes per day to find excellent bets and make a profit.
You can get access for either £9.67 per month or £4 per month, depending if you sign up 3 months (£29) or 1 full year (£49).
Value Tips stays true to its name, delivering a valuable software at a beyond affordable price.
Another solid choice, “The Horse Race System” is a simple but effective piece of horse handicapping software that focuses on delivering consistent solid bets instead of shooting for the stars to cover losses.
It’s an older, tried and tested choice that has just recently updated itself so you can use it on PC, mobile and tablet as well, giving you more freedom to experience it. Even though it’s very easy to use, you’ll still also get access to step-by-step instructions on how to use it successfully.
You can give it a trial run for just £0.99 for 7 days and you can then maintain access for only £14.99 per month.
It’s simpler than the others but that might just be what you’re looking for. It’s a solid choice.
Brisnet offers a generous selection of handicapping software that while not easy to use or aimed for beginners, is completely free.
Out of all the horse racing handicapping software reviews I’ve done, Brisnet is the only free option that I can recommend as it actually delivers a solid experience. It consists of 5 different tools, ranging from mining data to learning from results or just simply organizing data, all of which can be a simple but still useful helping hand while performing your own handicapping research. When it comes to free horse handicapping software, Brisnet’s an awesome choice.
You can get them here: Brisnet Free Software
Trackmaster has an immense selection of handicapping software products, with dozens upon dozens of variations in order to fit your needs no matter what they might be.
While the selection can be daunting, there are a lot of fantastic products for sale that can really up your game – especially if you’re an expert.
The tools and prices are too many to list so if you’re interested, give their website a look.
You can find them here: TrackMaster
Conclusion
Finding a solid horse racing handicapping software that you can comfortably use to reach consistent profitable results is a difficult task but thankfully, any of these 7 fit the bill perfectly. No matter which one you end up choosing, you’ll be upping your game to a new level and getting yourself on the road to success.
As always, remember to have fun and good luck!

What is the best fastest easiest U.S. friendly software to use? Thanks - Gerard
Logan January 24, 2020
Hey Gerard, even though all of the above work on U.S. races, I'd go with either Profit Maximizer or the Midas if you want the fastest and easiest to use options. Hope that helps and as always - have a great day!

Hello: I've used Brisnet in the past, while the software is free, the data files needed to make the software work IS NOT FREE! Getting started is VERY expensive and the software is OLD. There have been so many advances in artificial intelligence over the last 10 years ,( just remember Moore's Law..the speed doubles every 18 months). Most data files, which is one track for one day, cost $14.00 or $7.00 if you get a "frequent user" plan. Also most of the software manuals say that in order for the software to work well, you need a database of ,(get ready!) 1,000 races! Even if you figure 10 races per track per day, that would be 100 data files, which would cost between $700.00 ..$1,400.00 just to get set up . Now, what if you spend your $700.00 and find out that track does not provide you with an acceptable R.O.I.? Yep, you must pick another track, pay for another 1,000 races and HOPE that track works, because now you are in it for anywhere from $1,400. to $2,800. and you have yet to bet a single race! OK, so now, my question to you is.. what is the cost of the required daily files for a track for your two suggested software programs? And just as Gerard was curious, I am too... do these programs produce data files for U.S> tracks? Or, heaven forbid, is all the data input done manually?? I remember those old OLD programs where a friend & myself would type in the required times, positions, etc. for each horse. It took us maybe 3-4 HOURS to load in all the data for a 10 race card, THEN we could start the handicapping process. That was back in the days of black & white computer screens, dot matrix printers, and MS Dos was the operating software of the day. To be honest, some days I wish we still had MS DOS for some things. Anyway, pardon my long winded questions.... I would just like to know what ALL is involved before I/we start investing time and money. Thanks for your help. You really are providing a MUCH needed service here, as horse race handicapping SHOULD be knocking the exotics out of the park with today's computer speeds and sophisticated programs. That is, IF anyone is programming for horse handicapping.

Al Collins again. I just read that the Midas software only produces for English and Irish tracks. NO USA TRACKS OR RACES. Nothing against English racing. You folks were racing LONG before we were. But after 40 years of betting on American tracks, I'm a bit too old to switch .

Hey Al, great to have a veteran like you among the ranks! Brisnet's software still works exactly like it did in the past - it's free but the data needs to be bough from Bris in order to use it on the programs. The last time Neurax was updated was 2009 so even though it's simple to use, it doesn't use the power of modern technology and AI advancements. All the other software they offer - All-ways, CPP and Multicaps - still work but are outdated and I wouldn't recommend them if you're not heavily familiar with them already. Overall, even though Brisnet's data sets are excellent, their software has since been surpassed by its competitors (many of which use their datasets as well but on better software), hence why it's #6 on the list. For veterans, especially lovers of the US races, I'd heavily recommend BetMix. It's effective, incredibly deep and constantly updated plus the data is right there ready for you to play around with it in any way you want - no tedious manual input needed. For the service it's also attractively priced and with an excellent set of video tutorials to boot, it's quite easy to learn even for newcomers. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts Al, I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful weekend and the best of luck!

For me it's Midas, the best handicapping factors IMO.
Don baer February 12, 2020
If you were handicapping a track which product would you use and which track as well thank you
Logan February 21, 2020
Hey Don - that's a wide question but I'd go with the Profit Maximizer or Midas/Value (both companies joined forces recently) if I wanted a highly affordable, fast and effective solution. For a more complex and in-depth take, I'd definitely have to go with BetMix. I handicap a wide range of tracks but these choices are always there to back me up on all of them. Hope that helps and as always - have a great day!
