What is a Lucky 63?

A Lucky 63 covers six selections in every possible combination: 6 singles, 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds and 1 six-fold, which makes 63 bets. It is a Heinz (57 bets) with the six singles added.

How much does a Lucky 63 cost?

63 times the unit stake. A 10p Lucky 63 costs £6.30, a 50p one £31.50 and a £1 one £63. Each way it is 126 bets and costs double.

Pick Per bet to type the unit stake (what most betting slips ask for), or Total to type what you want to spend and let the calculator split it. An each way bet is two bets per line, so it costs double.

Worked example

A 10p Lucky 63 (£6.30 staked) with four winners at 2/1, 3/1, 4/1 and 7/2.

Frequently asked questions

Six, each in a different race. Every combination of them is covered, from the six singles to the six-fold.

No. A Heinz is the 57 multiples (doubles up to the six-fold) without singles. A Lucky 63 adds the six singles, so it costs 63 units and pays something with just one winner.

There is no way to beat the maths, but a few habits help: keep the six selections in separate races, avoid filling it with odds-on favourites (the multiples barely pay), go each way only when the place terms are generous, and check which bookmaker offers a Lucky 63 bonus before you place it.

For a Lucky 63, each of the 63 bets is worked out separately (stake times the decimal odds multiplied together) and then added up. The calculator does the 63 sums for you and shows them under See every bet.
